Behind the resounding success of Euro Pizza Products is a team of more than 60 enthusiastic professionals. Euro Pizza Products employees share a passion for their work – and for pizza – but are willing to go the extra mile to make a genuine difference for you. For this edition of our newsletter, we interviewed the head of production, Peter Struijke! As Head of Production, I am responsible for the production team. This team includes not only myself, but also three team leaders, one technical expert and 30 production employees. Together we make sure that all dough products are ready to be shipped to all Euro Pizza Products clients, both domestically and internationally. My primary daily tasks include monitoring production processes, preparing schedules, product development and contacting various suppliers concerning everything from raw materials to production machines.
The greatest challenge is to provide the highest quality of products and implement process improvements, day after day. I safeguard the quality of our products by monitoring daily production processes and, together with the team leaders, continuously developing our production staff. The team leaders put together a personal training programme for every employee in order to increase their task maturity. Activities are also rotated daily to ensure that every employee masters every aspect of the production process. This increases overall involvement and the flexibility of our staff. Each and every day, I am proud of the quality delivered and development of our team. I also derive great satisfaction from product development. I am extremely proud when I am able to meet specific customer needs by creating a fantastic product together with the product development team.
